goodguynow Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Hi all - I've searched the forums and found related topics, but didn't find exactly what I was looking for, so here goes: I'm a relatively new Lexus owner with a 2007 RX350 with 120,000 miles. Hoping you folks can give me an idea for a fair price for the 120K service? First quote I received was from an independent place that I'm told is well respected. When I asked for the price of the 120K service, they said $720, which includes oil change, brake flush, spark plugs, engine air filter, and throttle body service. Also includes loaner car. Based upon what I've read here, I'm certain the local Lexus dealers here in DFW will be much more than that ... Thoughts? Thanks!
1990LS400 Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 Since when is a "throttle body service" part of a 120K maintenance? You are paying for that loaner car - it's not free.
MBman Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 I did the plugs on mine, same year. I am a fairly accomplished mechanic, and it took me 3 hours , it is a bear of a job. The rest of the items are cheap. I'd say its in the ball park , they will clean the MAF I suspect , but ask A dealer will probably be closer to 900 If your handy do it yourself , probably $200 in parts .
