BigEdP Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 As the armrest in my 2000 RX300 were getting shabby I removed them and took them to a local upholstery shop to have them recovered. They did a good job and now I have them back. There is a series of washers that need to be put in place for the installation (2 metal washers and one plastic washer) and I need to know the sequence these are installed to get the armrest to function properly. Do all the washers go between the armrest and the seat or do some go more toward the outside of the assembly (on the backside of the hex head bolt? Any help is appreciated. thanks
VBdenny Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 My guess (and this is just a guess) is that the plastic washer goes against the moving surface where the armrest attaches to the seat, Then the metal washer. The other metal washer would go between the hex nut and armrest. Of course the best way is to either ask whomever took it apart, OR look at the other side. Either way, how bad could it be with a new armrest. How much did it cost to have them recovered (about)?
