Problem is now there are real humans signing up (probably sweat shopped) then the automation kicks in flooding the site. The IP's used are all different including emails. Worst type i have seen. 1

I know they are probably discouraged that they don't have Lexus vehicles in India because nobody is willing to have one smashed, stolen or fall off a cliff on some pathetic mountain road. Comes down to this famous line . "when you ain't got nothin' you got nothin' to lose If you are in India, you have already lost so what more is there to lose?

Also, thanks to David for his stepping in to help. David has been a great Moderator for several years. Unfortunately his business is growing so fast that it's become more difficult to be on the site as much as he'd like. (frankly, I hope David keeps working so hard. I'll test it our for a couple of days in the new location. Yes, my new laptop is in spare bedroom at far end of the single level house so distance is substantial.

pj8708 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Just a new tid-bit. In the Des Moines metro area, E-85 is selling for $1.58. I have seen some cars around saying Flex Fuel or E-85 on the trunk lid. I used to use 89 octane with 10% ethanol and had zero issues. But when I bought our 2013 RX and ES I switched to 91 octane with no ethanol. No good reason why, I guess I just thought that I might as well feed the beast with a high protein diet, and hope it helps keeping those injectors shinny and humming along. LOL
VBdenny Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 Perhaps the brand of gasoline is even more important. Always look for fuels labeled as TOP TIER. If I am not mistaken, E-85 is 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. I am ashamed they even make the stuff as alcohol is useful as a fuel only when you run out of gasoline. Causes corrosive activities in your engine components, cause terrible fuel economy and costs about $3.00 a gallon to make. I will stand with my previous position in that alcohol belongs in people, not in engines. I did notice several places in New York are now selling 100% Gasoline with NO alcohol. Filled up the truck and gained about 3 mpg. Of course it costs $$$$$$ but...
13IS250C Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 The way I look at it is this. Ethanol is made from corn. Corn is sugar. In other words, you are just pouring sugar in your gas tank. Anybody with a small two stroke engine will tell you that that crap just gums up everything. There is no way I would use that E85. The government is forcing that on us. As I've mentioned before, when I drive to the casinos, I travel through some of the richest Mississippi delta farmland. The soil is so rich that is is almost black. There used to be nothing but cotton and soybeans being grown. Now it is almost all corn.

By diverting corn from agriculture to fuels, a bunch of wealthy agri-businesses scored a huge coup. Yes, we were taken to the cleaners but common sense is back and it is time to get the alcohol OUT of our gasoline.
