13IS250C Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 Why doesn't GM just make it easy on themselves and recall every vehicle they make? Ridiculous. Build a decent car. At one time I had 4 GM cars in my driveway. My Z28, a WS6 Trans Am, a Corvette and a Grand Am. Started having so many issues that I haven't owned a GM product since. We put 4 power window motors in the Vette. Paint bubbled up on the TA when it was only about a year old. I could go on and on. Traded that for my '03 S2000 and never had a single issue with it. I have never gone back.
lenore Posted July 1, 2014 Posted July 1, 2014 yes, I have a hardcore GM friend, and I have over 25 years spent many hours fixing (helping) him with ridiculous problems from freeze plugs (really in California) to radio's that shut down the entire smog system in the vehicle. Government motors has gotten away with murder, yet Toyota payed hefty fines for their recalls. I guess the power of the union and our socialist government will protect those that should have been bankrupted and re-organized.
13IS250C Posted July 1, 2014 Author Posted July 1, 2014 My clutch return spring on my Trans Am popped in half once while I was dropping my daughter off at school. Really?!?!? I was just sitting there with the clutch pushed in and it broke and fell in the floor. The car was barely a year old. I used to buy a new car every year or 2. I have had a bunch of Camaros. You couldn't give me one of the new ones.
13IS250C Posted July 7, 2014 Author Posted July 7, 2014 Every good ole redneck in the south has owned a Camaro or Trans-Am.
