Awesome Philly. There is a whole crew coming from Philly. You will be able to meet many of you locals. I think there is even a caravan in the works from Philly.

So far there is potentially over 125 cars planning on being there.

This thing is going to be huge.

A very good question was raised.

How will we know each other when we get there?

I'll be the one driving a Lexus.

OK, seriously. It was suggested on CL that we have name tags in our front window.

I am going to print one out on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet (landscape) and have my screen name on it. Put both names if you have a different one on CL or MBWorld, etc.

I say we try and get there a little early, say noon, and get the jump and make an LOC corner.

If they do it like at Alley Pond Park, they will try to group the cars by models, which is totally cool and makes picture taking very organized.

To the LOC members going, update on the meet.

A. I will have the following

LOC flyers (lets put one on every Lex in the parking lot). :whistles:

Plenty of large LOC window stickers (gold letters) and small black retangular LOC window stickers with gold lettering.

I have a limited supply of medium size LOC window stickers in some really cool colors (yellow, gold, silver, blue, and white). The blue is wicked nice, but it won't go with my silver......I don't think.

Let me know your preference first, or they will go to the masses.

CLASSIFIEDS:

Everyone is certainly welcome to bring car-related items to sell to others interested. If you plan on doing so, it would help to make a post within this thread stating the item(s) you are bringing and selling at the meet, description, and asking price. In this manner, everyone can see what is going to be sold at the meet and can plan accordingly.

PAULGS430 is selling (3) HYPER REV Aristo 2 mag. vol. #69 = $30.

steviej is bringing a new set of Lexus black pearl emblems for a 1997-2001 ES300 = price unknown.

Djdelite is selling a VIP Lexus JDM catalog = $20.

C.

Get there early. There are about 165 potential cars going to be there. The meet orgainzers have secured a permit for the parking lot for up to 100 cars. If all are on their best behavior, then there shouldn't be any problems or anyone turned away.

Everyone please read the following!

(1) No speeding, erratic driving or racing- If there is any of this type of behavior, it will not be looked upon kindly. There is a great danger when a large number of vehicles are speeding on public roadways. The last thing we want to do is endanger the safety of our forum members, and that of people on the roads in general. This includes any overly aggressive swerving, cutting people off, etc. As there will be a few caravans en route to the meet, there could be potential for catastrophe if someone decides to do their best "Fast and Furious" impression. Maintaining a safe speed on the road and not tailgating other cars can easily reduce this.

(2) No Loud Music, Burnouts, Excessive Revving- Since we are going to be gathering in a public area, we will most likely be under much scrutiny from park security and local law enforcement. This meet could be ended very quickly with a "loud music" call to the police. The same holds true for excessive revving, burnouts, etc. The organizers of this meet understand that there will be people present that have EXTENSIVE audio/visual mods done to their rides, and want to showcase them. We fully understand and endorse that, but ask that you keep your demonstration short and sweet to avoid any unwanted attention. Those with exhaust mods, will be asked to do the same, just a couple revs to "show what 'cha got" not sitting there bumping against the rev limiter. Burnouts/donuts, etc will simply NOT be tolerated at this

meet.

(3) No Cross Brand flames- This meet has great potential to birth a wealth of hybrid meets/collaborations in the future. This could be a networking opportunity of great proportions! Just think of all the tuners, shops, online resources, etc. that could be shared amongst 3 premier luxury vehicle groups! The last thing we want to do is let a few snide comments undermine this effort. The fact of the matter is, we all drive what we drive for a reason, that reason being solely important to us as individuals, let's respect that decision across ALL brands. No matter what, WE ALL STILL LOVE OUR CARS! So let's leave any pre-conceived notions at home and come with an open mind and respect for each other and have a GREAT TIME!

(4) Alcohol Consumption- Due to the rules & regulations of the public parks, we are going to ask everyone to refrain from bringing alcohol to this meet.

D. Rain date:

In case of rain cancellation. the alternate date will be Sunday, 5/2/04.

Please watch this web site up to the last minute if weather becomes questionable.

E. Contact information.

My cell phone is 781-775-9264 and I will have that with me.

I think the sign in the window should be done, if anything to give credit to the owner in any pictures that may be taken of your car......and so we can find one another.

I would say get there and grab a corner. I have not heard if they are going to try to group the cars or clubs or models together. We did this at a previous meet and it worked well.

Most of the formalities are worked out on site.

It would be cool if LOC could group together......but it ain't our meet, we a but guests. Let's just go with the flow.

Hey Philly,

It's ok----- I think this listing is the group from clublexus.com. I "peeped"

at their site and the list matched mostly. Don't worry---LOC will be there,

Besides, I looked to see if anyone else was coming with an RX-300. They

have 1 from clublexus.com on their list.

For all those going we are supposedly meeting in Grove 1:

Hey kids, just thought some of you might like to know where Grove 1 is located.

Roosevelt Park is a good size and you could wander for a while before you find it.

the easiest way to get to Grove 1 is to take Route 1 to Parsonage Road heading

North. essentially, keep the Mall on your left while on Parsonage from Route 1.

after you pass the mall you'll come to a stop light. make the left onto Oakwood

Avenue. you'll see a hospital on your left after you make the turn on Oakwood.

directly opposite the hospital entrance is the entrance to Grove 1 (which is on

the right side). you'll actually see the parking lot on the right before you reach

the entrance to it.

if you look at the Yahoo map (on the first page of this thread) you'll see a lake.

that's where Grove 1 is. it has ample parking to fit a number of cars,

BUT

Grove 1 is also the spot where the lake is. there is also a good sized jungle jim

for the kiddies, and there's some sort of asphalt soccer field there as well

(i dunno...i just calls them as i see's them) it's like a rec area.

there are two parking lots there and another that almost circles the lake. the one

furthest from the lake is only a single-lane parking, but is nice and long. the

other is a good sized lot but that may be where we have the most competition

from non-meet people.

if you enter the park from anywhere else, just follow signs for the ice skating rink.

that's also where Grove 1 is.

FOOD:

there is a Wendy's, McDonald's, and White Castle within a 1/4 mile of the park.

there's also a diner and some restaurants in the same area. dummy me forgot

to check to see if there were grills at the Grove 1 spot, but for some reason i think

there are. if not, then they are a bit of a walk away.

gas statons are all around too for those who'd like to top-off before heading back

on the road for home.

I checked the weather for Edison, NJ. Supposed to be partly cloudy, about

60's or so. NO rain----"amazing how that happens, they plan an event a couple

of month in advance, and it's ok. I plan a cookout for the next day, and BANG

it rains-- go figure."

Have faith boys. It never rains when I going to a meet.

I'll see you all tomorrow. It's late and I got a long drive.

Paul, I got your email.....see you in Danbury. I contacted Lexusk8 (black 01 ES 300), he will keep and eye out for you at the mall.
