This question has come up many times but not in quite a long time. I just checked and saw lots of SC430 spare tires and some full kits on eBay.

Check out bimmerfest.com. BMW has been using RFTs for years, and many owners swap them out for non RFTs. RFT or not, BMW's mobillity kit or the Dynaplug repair system and mini pro inflator will provide a way to repair a flat, in some cases, without removing the wheels.

I bought both for my wife's new BMW X1.... (Yes, I know she'll never use them!)
Wish the damned thing had a spare tire ... RFTs are a royal pain, from my perspective...

Thank you! I agree with your comments on RFTs and my trunk is small without adding a spare tire kit. Your information and resources are wonderful. I learn something new every day. :-)

I no longer buy run flat tires. What do you use in case of a flat? Any one buy a spare tire kit or know a good resource?

Thanks

I switched to regular tires and bought from Tirerack their Continental inflaror kit which for $75 includes an excellent air pumpt

and a bottle of sealant which is supposedly safe for TPMS. Takes up a lot less space than the spare!!!
