Resetting Tire Pressure Warning Light

Yes, the light SHOULD go out. However, in the case of a faulty TPMS sensor the light stays on regardless of the tire pressure (including the spare). They are expensive to replace.

Another instance is if specialty tires, special rims, or winter tires are used on another set of rims. They may not have the TPMS and, if they do, they may not be synced with the vehicle's computer.

That said, I have no idea about a sequence of button pushes to disable the TPMS. Maybe there is something in the TechStream options that can be changed.
