raine
Greetings, Does anyone know how to get the 99 GS400 nav system upgraded to include more addresses/up to date info? Unlike the current nav system which is DVD based, the 99 nav system is harddrive based. It would appear that Lexus has placed more emphasis in keeping the DVD system updated with the latest and greatest. I am curious to find out if there are any updates for the 99 nav that I can get from someone other than Lexus. Also, is there any kind of conversion for the 99 nav system to play DVD movies or even to have the DVD nav system work with the 99 nav? Thanks in Advance, Raine :)
Junction Produce GS400
this is something that I need to do, but been completely laggin on. It is hard-drive based and you can buy an upgrade from the Lexus Dealership. As for it being plug and play, your guess is good as mine. I believe it was around 379 for this upgrade. Something like that.
Magata
Lexus dealers will charge from $250-$275 for the hard drive and about $60 to $90 for installation. I have a '99 GS 300 with NAV and I would like to upgrade this to the current version. It sounds to me like this is proprietary and you can only upgrade through Lexus. I would like to know if my assumption is incorrect. Thanks, Alan
