russ1958 Posted September 1, 2013 Share Posted September 1, 2013 I recently purchased a 1999 Ls400. Lovely car, only 80K miles on it. However the driver side front door will not lock with the remote or the power button, only the key. Am I looking at replacing the actuator? I've read the many posts on DIY ebay motor replacement. landar Posted September 1, 2013 Share Posted September 1, 2013 Not sure exactly what is wrong but in any case, you are going to have to remove the inner door panel for a look-see. It sure does appear to be the motor actuator but could also be a connector or wire that has fallen off(less likely). Congrats on your purchase.
