pierce1 Posted March 21, 2004 Share Posted March 21, 2004 A couple of days ago I noticed a knocking sound when I hit the brakes, especially at a low speed. Today when I touched the brakes the sound was a if something was hitting in side the gear shift. It is more noticeable when in park brake,with every tap of the brake, a clanking sounds is hear in the gear shift leaver. I will be taking it Wednesay for a new timing belt, water pump, and tansmission sevice (kit), has anyone else had this problem or suggestions as what it could be, as to give the mechanic and idea if he doesn't have one.
