littlerock
I have a 97 es and my display went fuzzy. I plan to order the pioneer display (#cwm4319) but after reading different messages what if I have a Nakamichi radio? How do I know whether I have a Pioneer radio or a Nakamichi radio in my car? littlerock
Thank you for the offer. I called one Lexus dealership and they told me they would have to pull the radio out and see. But when I called a different Lexus dealership, they informed me that I have a Pioneer radio. . . so I ordered to lcd display piece from Pioneer. Thank you again. This Lexus forum was been a wonderful help!! :D
blake918
Littlerock, how did you go about ordering from Pioneer? I need an lcd for ls LS400 that has the Pioneer system. Any leads would be awesome(website, phone number, etc.?). ;) I didn't think about this when I first read the post, but all Pioneer systems are called "Lexus Premium Sound" systems, and the Nak has the Nak logo along with their name...likewise on the newer cars there is a "Mark Levinson" logo. What dealer told you that you'd have to pull the entire stereo out?? :o
philbe1
i have 97 es300 also and my LCD display is out too, where did you order from (specifically) and how much was it?
Senna4ever
My display is starting to go, too... How un-Toyota like for such a simple part to go prematurely in so many cars.
squarehat
Without pulling the unit, the Nak would have a Nakamichi logo, and the Pioneer has the model number written on the cassette door, and that number starts with the code "P" for Pioneer. The Naks also have a pure digital connection (not sure whether the ES uses fiber optic or copper cable) between the headunit and the glovebox CD changer.
