OKSC3 Posted March 15, 2004 Posted March 15, 2004 Was the Autolock feature used/available in any of the US SC's?
jzz30 Posted March 15, 2004 Posted March 15, 2004 if by auto lock you mean open the lock with the remote, and if the door doesnt get opened it locks by it self with a delay then i believe so.
OKSC3 Posted March 15, 2004 Author Posted March 15, 2004 Naw, on the Soarers there was a chip in the key that when you left the car it would lock, thats about all I know, I don't know if you got so close if it would unlock for you. I just read that its useless if you loose your key that came with the car and wondered if the USDM cars had them installed or not.
Bandit Posted March 15, 2004 Posted March 15, 2004 Yes, the SC300/400 has the Auto Lock Feature. If you unlock the car and do not open the door, in 30 seconds it will re-lock itself. I just tested it on my 93 SC400.
bean_8044 Posted March 15, 2004 Posted March 15, 2004 theres alot of wierd things like that with the lock. like you cant lock the doors with the key in the ignition, but you can play with the windows if the door is open and the car is off. every time i notice something wierd like that i have to wonder how much that added to the total cost and weight of the car. mine is the only barebones Soarer ive seen so im happy
Bandit Posted March 15, 2004 Posted March 15, 2004 My 93 SC400 allows you to play with all the window, sunroof and radio functions after you turn the key off, until you open either door. Once a door is open, you can no longer operate any of these functions. I do not know which models allow you to operate any of these functions once the key is removed and either door is opened.
