SC300Don
I have a 92 SC 300. Any one out there have any idea on how to handle a situation where the security alarm goes off for no good reason? It usually happens when I lock the doors with the key fob and when the lights are on. After about 5 minutes the alarm starts blaring away. This has happened about 10 times and can be quite embarassing when I have to walk up to my own car with the horn blowing and lights blinking. For now, I have disconnected the two horns and one other warning horn not hooked up to the steering wheel. Would the purchase of a service manual help? What about the alarm box in the driver side door? Poor contacts? A short? Help? BEEP>BEEP>BEEP<BEEP, It just won't stop :chairshot:
SKperformance
Do you have an aftermarket alarm or anything else addded to the car?
93LSOwner
Yeah, an aftermarket security system could trigger the factory alarm system. This happens in my friends Acura Legend.
SC300Don
Do you have an aftermarket alarm or anything else addded to the car? I have all original equipment. I did change the battery on the key fob and that seemed to help I'm thinking of hooking the horn back up Could all of this mess be as simple as changing the remote's battery?
