Should i replace the stock sub with a more powerful sub or just get a box hooked up in the trunk? i dont want to loose trunk space and then have my car ratling and spending $$$ on dampening material. is the 10" sub replacable? will a 12" fit in ? and can u show me some free air subs on crutchfield that are good... and a amp to push w/e subs u recomend. and will i need to change the head unit if i had the free air speaker or the setup in the trunk?

Sorry you post has been sitting here so long.

Yes you have the options of replacing the 10" with a better 10" or going with the box-n-the-trunk.

I went the replacement way and am very happy with my sound.

Here are the parts:

Sub

Amp

Good luck!

Is it a direct replacement if not how hard is it to install this, can a mechanical person that doesn't have too much knowledge of audio install it?

Can? Yes.

Should? Probably not.

If you've had no audio install experience at all, it can be quite tricky.

At the least, have a friend who's done some audio help you out.

Best of luck.
