BlackSC4 Posted March 10, 2004 Share Posted March 10, 2004 has anyone tried that quick fix addtive where you pour it in the resevoir and it supposedly flows through your cooling system and clogging the leaks? it looks very temporary to me, but worst, i think it might even clog the coolant passages. has anyone used this product? if peopel have and it provens good then i may lean towards that since im leaking coolant behind the engine, which is probably not fun looking for. 99lsguy Posted March 10, 2004 Share Posted March 10, 2004 I tried that "stop leak" stuff - a black gooo.........on my 85 Accord when it was leaking @ radiator - Didn't work ;) It was 12 years old and 220K miles.....time for a newer car...... VBdenny Posted March 10, 2004 Share Posted March 10, 2004 Back when I was young and poor I used all kinds of stop leak stuff. Some of it worked for a little while but after awhile I did have a few radiators just blow apart. I think the stuff clogs up all the passages. Determine what is leaking, and fix it.
