J Random User
Guys My mechanic says the middle piece of the catalytic converter needs to be replaced since it has a leak on either side. Quoted me $2150. He said no aftermarket CATS are available for the IS250 but I found some on the web from Magnaflow and Catco Are these any good or totally unreliable? Has anybody got experience with them? Thanks!

snig
Why not compare the part number on Sewell and get a 3rd party shop to install?

reyoasian
$2150 is total BS this is something you'd normally expect from the stealership, but a third party mechanic? ridiculous from now on you should take your business elsewhere you can consider changing to a full catback aftermarket exhaust if you don't mind louder (joe z is probably the most recommended) or you can check sewell for specific part, or even local dealer as I believe parts in the USA are not that expensive compared to here in Canada **note: I'm talking about RWD 2IS's......if you have an AWD you can only find OEM for the specific part you want as nobody makes full exhaust or mid pipes for the AWD (axlebacks only)
