The ect button is useless as it only changes the shift points for a wider powerband but usues more gas .If you wan tthe same power just press the gas all the way for the same shifting. UCF3 Posted March 8, 2004 Share Posted March 8, 2004 On my LS, I've used the ECT switch whenever I press the fuel pedal and the performance is really slow.
