ukfsc300
Ok so the sc300 has been my dream car for the longest time and I'm about to buy one and iv been learning about them a lot recently and iv been wondering. Is there any difference in the blocks of the supra 2jz and sc300? I know the trannys are different but is there different compression or anything else? I just haven't heard anything different so far. I imagine it wouldnt because they are the same motor.
oldman103
The lexus and the supra 2jzge blocks are the same. The supra 2jzgte block has oil squirters for the wrist pins and the pistons are forged not cast, like the 2jzge pistons, and of course the gte heads are totally different. 1JZPWRD
Thats the biggest things between the motors. He is exactly right. If you want to buy a supra, my friend has a NA version, 95 in black on black for sale... Alot of the supra parts will also fit the SC in terms of suspension, motor, tranny, and rear parts... Just a thought...
