Headlight Standard To Oem Xenon

Just purchased a 2000 GS300 and was wondering how difficult a change over to the OEM Lexus Xenons is. Is it as simple as switching the lamps out? Are the connectors the same? Wonder if anyone has done it before.

You will need the OEM HID housing, bulb, and ballast. Forget about the leveling computer because that involves so much other electronics (wiring, sensors) that even Lexus techs don't want to tackle that job (read lots of $$$).

Once you have the 3 parts listed above, it is pretty much a replacement.

Oh yeah, forget about all the electronics. Screw all the oncomming drivers. They like to be blinded by your headlights. Mods like these one of the reasons people carry guns these days.

Except for the bulb/socket, the OEM system is somewhat like aftermarket kits. The 9006 connector will go into the ballast. The nice thing is that the housing has room made for the ballast below the housing so that everything fits in nice and neat.
