leow Posted February 29, 2004 Share Posted February 29, 2004 I have replaced the alternator and battery 4 years ago. Now when I start the car in the morning it starts right up. However when the day gets around 5:00pm the car will not start it light the battery went dead. It makes a clicking noise can anybody offer a suggestion. BlackSC4 Posted February 29, 2004 Share Posted February 29, 2004 the battery is probably bad. 4 years is about the time to get yourself a new one. you can buy a voltmeter at a car shop for less than 10 bucks, and when it doesnt start up, check the battery's voltage. it shoudl be around 12 volts and no less than 11.
