This press release from Toyota includes the 2004 & 2005 Rx330 & 2006 RX400h as well as the 2004 & 2005 ES330.

The problem resides with the crankshaft pulley going bad and allowing the power steering belt to come off.

What the hell... why always the "2006" Rx400h and not the 07 and 08? Are we supposed to believe this part was changed for the 07 and 08 model years??

They must have known about this a while ago; why else would they change it for 07?

Keep in mind that regardless of all the bad press in recent years involving various recalls up and down the product line, Toyota/Lexus remains among the slowest of all manufacturers to publicly admit potential problems and then to issue actual recalls concerning them. Sad but true....
