I have a well maintained 95 and mine is periodically doing the same thing. I suggest that you check the fluid level, make certain that there are no codes (possible throttle position sensor problem) or it could be the ECM which there is a bulletin on. I've replaced pluigs and the TPS will be next. After these its the ECM as the trans has been tested and they are pretty much bulletproof.
