Zorro1958 Posted August 31, 2011 Share Posted August 31, 2011 When I turn the instrument panel light control all the way on past the Detent it seems to have no effect on my 2008 RX350. Previously it seemed that turning the control all the way really lit up the panel especially during the day. I have the Nav system and that brightness control seems to work fine. cduluk Posted September 1, 2011 Share Posted September 1, 2011 What exactly is the problem? Does the dimmer knob have NO control over the brightness during both night and day? Are the gauges illuminating and dimming OK but not the nav screen? Are you trying to toggle between day/night mode for the nav screen (black screen with white streets or white screen with black streets)? During the day you shouldn't notice ANY difference in brightness between the position just shy of the "click" and the position after the "click". However at night, you should; just shy of the "click" the gauges should illuminate at about 50% potential, and after the "click" they should go to full daytime brightness.
