JohnChristopher Posted June 29, 2011 Share Posted June 29, 2011 noticed that frequently my 2001 RX300 has not been shifting into last gear.. on highway RPM gauge is at 3200 when at 60 mph. should be at 2000 at 60mph. is this a sign of dumping my life savings into a new or rebuilt transmission ?? lenore Posted June 29, 2011 Share Posted June 29, 2011 When was the last time the transmission was serviced? DO NOT do a transmission flush under any circumstances..... Could be just a matter of having the pan dropped and and filter being changed, then refill with fresh transmission fluid. But on the bad side, not going into overdrive is how my transmission failed.
