95 SC300
Hi guys, I recently bought a 95 SC300 and I love the car but I'm having a problem with the keyless entry. The driver's side door doesn't work with the key but the passenger side does. It seems to be getting a pulse but it doesn't lock or unlock. Any ideas? bugjug
Either the linkage is broken, or the solenoid actuator is hosed. If you can hear the clicking inside the door, the solution is going to be to *carefully* remove the door panel and take a look at what is going on. 95 SC300
I actually decided to have an alarm installed and the guy said it was the actuator. I'm going to try and track one down and try to install it myself. Do you know if this is an easy enough job or should I just pay to have it done? bugjug
It is very easy. Just be careful removing the door panel, because the plastics Lexus used are brittle at this age.
