ShawnDave Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 So I'm having some trouble with the sub in my 2002 SC430. After some research on the internet, it seems that either the sub is blown or rubbing against the mesh wire guard. I was hoping to get some advice in 1. removing the seat in order to check the guard, and/or 2. replacing the sub. From what I read, the sub is 10", 2 ohm, 300watt max. Is that right? I also read that the sub is a free air sub, but am having trouble locating a 10" free air sub that has not been discontinued and would be an easy install. I wouldn't mind an upgrade to 12" if the install doesn't require a huge modification. Does anyone have any experience with removing the back seat to access the sub and advice on which aftermarket sub would be the best in sound/price/fit? Thanks. -Shawn
