bdouglas724 Posted March 30, 2011 Share Posted March 30, 2011 the ignition lock cylinder (ignition switch) on my car is broken. no matter what i do, the key will not turn in it at all. i had a locksmith and a couple of mechanics tell me that the tumblers inside of it are broken or worn. i read somewhere that there is a button you have to push when the switch is on ACC but since i cant get it to go to ACC i need another way of getting it out. Can anybody please help me?!?!?! i have already ordered a new (to me) lock cylinder w/keys, i just need someone to tell me what i need to do to get the old one out and what needs to happen to get the new one working.
