Today while driving at 60 mph, I noticed my indicated rpm was 3100. Is this correct for this speed or I'm not shifting into 5th. gear? Help me out here. bbsal Posted February 20, 2004 Share Posted February 20, 2004 3100 at 60mph sounds like you dont have overdrive on but it could be normal.im pretty sure mine is like 2600 rpms at like 60 65mph with overdrive on.check and make sure its on.if it is one then try to count your gears as they switch and see if overdrive kicks in.if it dont then it could be a problem. This is more or less my first experience with an automatic. I feel like a fool, oh well. You guys are great on this board. We seem to learn so much from each other.
