Copied Navigation Disc's

SOmebody on craigslist is selling updated nav discs for $80 installed. Is it safe to buy what i assume is a copied disc? I dont want to muck up any of the electronics/nav system / etc.

Also, what is the most current update for my car.

Genuine navigation disks have become pretty cheap. I guess Toyota/Lexus decided it wasn't in their interest to charge the silly high prices they used to charge.
