L.Cash
I recently purchased a 2003 GS300 w/ 79,000 miles. A few days ago, my CEL came on, and the VSC lights. I took the car by Autozone today and got the code. It's P0420. The description says: Catalyst efficiency below threshold - bank 1. Does anybody have any idea what this means and what the repair would possibly be? I appreciate any help.

L.Cash
Either your cat needs replacing or the post cat 02 sensor is shot. Welcome to the club Thanks for the welcome, and I appreciate the help! I got a 3yr/36K miles service contract on the car when I bought it, so regardless of what the repair is going to be, I will only be out $100 for the deductible. :)
