'03 Gs430 - Replacing Struts - Do I Need To Replace Springs As Wel

Mechanic is suggesting this as an option. Has anyone just replaced the struts? any regrets they did not replace the springs at the same time? Would like to here opinions. 135k miles. Thank you.

There is no need to replace the springs unless they have 'sagged' If your ride height is good then the springs are fine. Actually they are just dampers (aka shocks).
