96ES300
After I had my 96 ES300 rear main seal replacement by a transmission shop, I noticed that the transmission shift point is not shifting correctly. When I accelerate the transmission shift point does not engage properly causing the engine to rev up then it finally kicks in. Does anybody know how to reprogram or adjust the shift point on a ES300? What will this involve and how. Please provide details. Thanks.
SKperformance
Is the button on the console for ect pressed in making the green light on the dash turn on? If not then a wire is probably being grounded out that goes from the switch to the tranny making it think the button is on and shifting higher. squarehat
Have you checked your transmission fluid dipstick? On my old Camry, the dealership forgot to fully re-fill the reservoir after a flush, and the car wasn't shifting until about 5,000 RPM. I took it back in, and they were like "oops, we forgot to refill the fluid all the way"
