hi everyone im new here...i recently bought an ls 400 ,that was working remarkably well for four month..but last night ,for no apparent reason the engine management light turned on,no weird noise and it just came out of the garage where i had a complete check of all fluids and leaks.. before i take it to the dealer i would like to know what kind of problem i could be facing here...steve 2006 help!!! thank you!

I have a 1995 LS400 with 144,000 miles. My check engine light has been lit for the past 55,000 miles. After a lot of money at the dealer, the light was out for about 50 miles and then came back on. I had my local guy check the car out and he said he suspected an oxygen sensor. We changed three but the fourth would not come out, it was too rusted in.

At any rate, the car runs great, I've replaced the y-pipe (or is it an x-pipe), cat, tuned up, etc. But I live with the light.

Ok,

If you are confident to read the codes yourself and have a paper clip you don't need a code reader, method and codes are in the link below.

If you get the code(s) post up the results and we'll go from there.

so apparrently the main oxigen sensor signal is the problem .Not knowing what it is ...maybe u can lighten me.thx for the link.really helpfull.

hmmmm. Just saw this thread. Why start a new one for the same light/O2 sensor, Hugo?

i tryed to erase the previous one,couldnt figure it out .when i found out what was the origin of the problem i had another pb...if u look closely, i asked 2 diffrent questions ,but i still tried to erase the previous one ....
