tomfleck
My wife's 2000 RX300 started making a slipping noise with hesitation when starting from a dead stop, usually when going uphill. Once she starts moving there is no slippage. We had our mechanic drain and replace tranny fluid and filter. Still slipping when starting up. Have any of you had a similar problem? Is this the tranny slipping at first gear? Car has 140k miles.
SKperformance
A good place to start is the search box, try and and you will get a wealth of information on this very common problem with AWD RX's .
carguy07
I would guess it is either the tranny slipping or the ABS kicking in. Start with disconnecting the ABS and see what happens. http://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-first-generation/528770-brakes-or-vsc-seem-to-kick-in-when-accelerating-from-zero.html
