sifi Posted September 10, 2010 Share Posted September 10, 2010 Driving my Lexus IS220d when suddenly the dashboard lit up with 'Check VSC' and the skid icon also displayed. The car slowed to max 30mph, and wouldn't accelerate with it's usual oomph, ie. 'get you home mode'. I read the possible fix in the Tpyota Owners Club web site. In my instance it was a dirty EGR valve. The fix was on http://toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=106241 by RickD4D. Marvelous instructions and photos, took me 25 mins with a 12mm socket, toothbrush and a few drips of petrol. This saved so much time, money and inconvenience.
