Hey guys

So, i sold my car yesterday (2002 bmw 530i), cause I really needed the cash.

But now, I got no car, and school starts on Monday!

I found this ls400 for sale, the year is 1990, but it has a blown head gasket.

How much will it cost to fix it? Like, what would be the cheapest to fix something like that?

Any feedback would be great!

Thanks

If you need a car soon, buying a used Lexus with a blown head gasket is probably NOT a wise move. Especially if you are a student on a fairly strict budget. And if the head gasket is blown, there may be other, more serious issues as well. Depending upon your budget, I would be looking for a decent running Honda, Toyota, etc, car that has been given reasonably good care. It could take some time and big bucks to get the Lexus in running shape. Pass for now. Get a Lexus after you graduate.

$3-5,000 at least or much more than the car is worth. Only way this makes sense is if you are highly qualified and do it yourself. Otherwise run away. Far far away.

pass on that one, here are a few options:

Maybe not this one but...

As you see, you have choices if an LS400 is what you want. Just type LS400 in the craigslist search field.
