odessit Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Ladies and Gentlemen, As I am planning to replace the spark plugs on ES 300, 97... Which spark plugs should be used? Platinum tipped or regular? Any particular brand name? I plan to have it done by Toyota dealership and want to make sure that they put the right ones in. Thanks for the help, Alex
Lexusfreak Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Go with factory originals (it should mention what kind they are in the owners manual or lift up your hood & it might say on the right hand side with a sticker). My 01 has Iridium (factory) and I just changed them with the exact same ones. Yours will most likely need either Denso or NGK. They will either be the platinum or iridium type & both last quite a long time so no worries! :D Good luck!
SKperformance Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 no need to be formal this is a fun relaxed forum if you are going to toyota they will use the camry plugs which are the exact same as the ES as the are idential engines
m2pc Posted April 7, 2004 Posted April 7, 2004 I just looked up the Denso and NGK. Both are two pronged platinums, but the NGK's go for almost double! What Is the a reasoning for this?
