My Sc 400 Interminently Starts & Doesnt Idle

i have an 1995 sc400, and, maybe every 4 days out of 7, it will start then not idle. it only happens when i first start the car for that day! and some times the check engine light comes on, our OBD reader tells me that its the "throttle positioning sensor". could that be my problem? if any one has any suggestions i would appreiciate them
