BillTemplin
We just bought a used 2008 Lexus SX 350 and the dealer installed a hitch for us. We are curious how similar this is to what the factory would have installed. We were shown a photo in the Insider for the Lexus 2010 RX 450h p. 6 and were told this is what ours would look like. When we searched the Lexus website (at http://www.lexus.com/models/RXaccessories/towing_equipment )we saw a photo that looked just like the on in the Insider but out hitch looks nothing like that. Assuming you meant RX 350, look at post #5 on this thread. Hitch
Comfort
I purchased a hitch from Etrailer & the pigtail for about $160 delivered. Installed it today-easy install and a quality product. They say 1/2 hour to install but it's more like an hour+. About 10 minutes to install the hitch but it takes some time to remove the plastic cover and trim for the hitch. My unit came prewired for a hitch so only had to buy the short pigtail to plug into the factory wire.

My unit came prewired for a hitch so only had to buy the short pigtail to plug into the factory wire. I installed an aftermarket hitch that went in very well and fitted fine. However, I don't know what part number to use for the pigtail to plug in to the factory wire (I do have the towing option). Can you help? DodgerZA
Great info Comfort. I see there are 2 brands on etrailer for the RX350. I'm looking for the least obtrusive, one that will tuck away - which brand did you go with?http://www.etrailer.com/hitch-2011_Lexus_RX350.htmhttp://www.etrailer.com/hitch-2011_Lexus_RX350.htm
