Interior Trunk Release Does Not Work

I've just received my car back from the smash repairs and realised the lever under the steering wheel doesnt work.

Rather than driving 2 hours to and from , perhaps you guys could help? :)

I know the trunk still works because it will open with the remote keys.

Next to the electronic trunk release switch, there's a 'service' key-hole to (b)lock unwanted trunk access from the inside. You need a master key to release this lock. If that doen't apply, a fuse might be blown or there's a loose connection.
