masksav Posted July 14, 2010 Share Posted July 14, 2010 Help! I'm a newbie so be gentle. I have a 2006 RX400h with a dead front driver side door lock assembly. I just had to change out both of them (not at the same time ) on my 2006 Solara SLE Convertible I have only been able to find references for the RX300. Here’s my questions 1 Any suggestion or tutorials on how to remove this door panel and replace the assembly? 2 Is there a cross reference to the same part from Toyota? 3 Where is the best place to buy the part? My local dealer wants $285.00 4 Has anyone else experienced this same problem? I'm fairly mechanical and had no problems changing out the 2 in my Solara so replacement should be easy for me.
