Timing Belt Replacement

Recommended Posts

I am replacing the timing belt and water pump on a 98 LS400. I am confused on how to position the timing belt as there were no marks on the previous belt. What position should the camshaft be when the crankshaft is at TDC? I also cannot move the right camshaft rotating it clockwise to install the belt. I am stuck. Any help will be very appreciated.

I found these web sites very helpful in preparing for the job.

Amazing how little the search option is used. First couple of links seem to be broken curiousB.
