Is250Awd Rear Strut Replacement, Only 50K Miles?

Took the car in today for a quick oil change and was told one of the rear struts was leaking and needed to be replaced. I was surprised. The car has 50k miles, is a bit over 4 years old and hasn't been abused on rough roads etc.

Is this normal?

Is this a problem with Lexus. I've never had a problem with struts in any car less that 100k miles.

No, it's not normal but a bad one gets through every now and then. Talk to your dealer - they should replace this as a goodwill gesture.
