picassomoon Posted March 30, 2010 Share Posted March 30, 2010 I've had the car for about a day and tried feeding multiple cd's into my 6 cd changer. The first one worked brilliantly. The second one, not so much. Instead of playing it made these terrible whirring noises and when I hit eject it took several tries before it finally ejected. Unfortunately, my car still thought there were 2 cd's in the changer instead of one, as it showed two cd's registering on the screen. Recently it's started showing an error message and won't play or eject the first disk that is still in there. Help, please. I search around online and the repair estimates were around $400. intakerGS Posted April 2, 2010 Share Posted April 2, 2010 I'm not sure what it is you want to ask. Perhaps some other info would be useful as well. What kind of CD's are you loading, original or 'burned' ones? What error message does it give? It might be something easy, like cleaning the laserlens, or more complicated stuff, related to loading mechanism or electronics. The whirring noise could point to an unreadable CD.
