rsell Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 I just changed to pennzoil ultra, which I plan to run for about 10,000 miles. I went to the Mobil 1 15000 synthetic and did some trials in both lexus ES & SC. I ran the oil for 10000 in the ES and changed it and it looked GREAT. I then put 12000 on the SC and it looked GREAT. I am doing 15000 now on both and expect the same results.
nanadog Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 I use Amsoil 12mo/ 25,000 and it works great. I usually am closer to 16k after 12mo. Good luck!
sump Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 I use Amsoil 12mo/ 25,000 and it works great. I usually am closer to 16k after 12mo. Good luck! In your car...good luck on that..Unless you post a UOA.
mrlexluter2 Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 <_< rumor is if your car is use to using dino stick to it cuz actualy most the slug build up is kinda good if you have like over 100 K on it. some of the slug from what i understand stops up those seals that may leak... with the syn.. it cleans out the slug which expose the seals that could leak..now this is just rumor i feel if you just settle down with high mileage oil and use oil treatment you car still be happy i use castrol high milage
eatingupblacktop Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Unless you do a UOA, you're just pi$$in in the wind! Same old, same old ... very very old!!!! Sorry to bust the party, but this has been hashed to death! :chairshot: Here's just one thread of too many. Read up: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=741
