Is there a way to have the central console slide back and forward please? How?

You mean the console between the front seats? There's a handle you need to press after opening the cupholder cover (the cover with the chrome sliver). Hard to explain, but you'll find it... it's hidden, under the top. Just press and pull in whichever direction you want. <_<
