My other car is a LeBaron Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 I'm looking for the following part for my '93 LS400, which unfortunately has been discontinued: Hose, cooler refrigerant suction, no. 1, part number 88712-50060 Any help in tracking it down would be greatly appreciated. Where do you guys get parts for your old cars?
RDM Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Salvage yards are the only real option unless you have a competent place locally that can rebuild the hose (if you still have it). I paid $35 to have a hose rebuilt that the dealer wanted $363 for.
jeffls400 Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 +1 on having a shop rebuild it. I had mine done last summer with fantastic results. Good luck. Jeff
My other car is a LeBaron Posted February 2, 2010 Author Posted February 2, 2010 Thanks for your replies. What kind of shops should I be looking for?
billydpowell Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Thanks for your replies. What kind of shops should I be looking for? Don't know about over there, here it would be a general automotive repair shop. They would know where to have your hose repaired/replaced.
RDM Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 Hit the google for A/C repair in your area, you might also try radiator repair shops, they sometimes do hoses/lines. Also any good hydraulic hose shop can repair or rebuild a hose since they deal with high pressure fittings.
drewtiss Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 I'm looking for the following part for my '93 LS400, which unfortunately has been discontinued:4-seasons a/c hose, cooler refrigerant suction, no. 1, part number 88712-50060 Any help in tracking it down would be greatly appreciated. Where do you guys get parts for your old cars? Yeah. Try looking at salvage yards first. You can still get some decent stuffs there at a cheap price. You can also do a local search online.
