Hey all. New to the forum but i have a 01 gs300 that out of nowhere wont start. i checked for fuel and spark and have none. Im guessing the lexus factory alarms work the same as ford lincoln mercury (im a tech at a dealer) and disables the computers signals for fuel and spark. i close the door and can see the light flashing. put the key in and still flashes and when i try to start it still flashes like its enabled. I went through the first 15 pages on the forum and to no avail found any info and i really didnt feel like looking through all. i tried a couple different resets for the anti-theft module and i actually got the car to start. shut it off and got it to start 2 more times and then poof back to the magical kingdom of no start. has good battery compression ect.... ive read around theses have random alram issues. wondering if its just the key finally went or the whole anti theft is just going. any direction of help would be greatly appreciated.

So your saying that when you put in the key and turn the starter does not kick in? If so i have same problem wth my 98gs400. Best way is to keep turning the key slowly it can take up to more then a dozen time before it starts. The problem behind it the battery. At least that is whats happening to mine. I use a battery charger to charge the battery. And once the

battery is fully charge no more problem. Hope that helps..

thanks for the inputs. not the battery or starter. definitely the anti- theft. ive been having a feeling it was the transmitter in the key being out of no where it worked and then i got it to work then back to no work. i was just trying to get some suggestions or ideas of any similar encounters of other owners. i figured ide have to the stealership. i just hate going because i know what they do bein i work for one( go figure right) thanks for the inputs and if anymore people have any ideas throw em out at me
