Po125 Code

Check engine light came on when I had a friend replace the spark plugs. I took my GS 300 to AutoZone and they pulled code PO125. I replaced the Coolant temp sensor and the thermostat but the code still will not clear. I took the car to a shop and they pulled the same code and told me the thermostat was not working properly. I puchased a new thermostat from the dealership and replaced the aftermarket one. But again no luck, still have the check engine light.

Does any one know what else I need to replace or how to clear the check engine light? My tags are expired and it won't pass emissions with the check engine light on.
