robbieracer
I'm a newbie to this forum and the IS250 (wife's car) so excuse me for any ignorance since I haven't had a chance to look under the hood of the car yet. Dealer quoted us $581 for the 60K service and this includes a loaner car. Without changing the plugs it's $292. I then spoke with an independant shop and they quoted $318 without plugs and an additional $600 to change out the plugs because it's 3 hours of work. $900 is nuts! Is it really that hard to change out the plugs? I have a 2003 BMW M3 and did the 60K maint. myself and the plugs weren't that big of deal I had to remove a valve/head cover and the coils to get at the plugs and I think it took around 1 - 1.5 hrs. Any suggestions help would be great!
